Individual Therapy
I spend time to find out what you want to happen for you. Assessment takes place at a personal level. I want to know what you are trying to make happen for you in your life. What have you been trying that has not worked for you? All our work together will focus on the situation, your thoughts and your emotional reactions. I am like a consultant where we view the world from your point of view along how you feel about it. If you can recognize something that is helpful to do to make what you want happen, you are more likely to do it than if it does not make sense to you. That is what makes this rational therapy.
Couples Therapy
I practice Emotion Focused Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I was trained by John and Julie Gottman themselves and I have competed Level II training. We will be looking at your relationship from the Sound Relationship House undersanding. We begin with assessment. I want to understand what what is happening in your relationship. There are twenty two pages of assessment to go along with the three assessment interview. We want to take the time to find the strengths along with areas of improvement. Emotional connection is not the result of settling conflict in the relationship. Emotional connection results from re-attuning your relationship connection on many different levels.

We have Level II, II-X and Level III. The information we provide is current and not an attempt to prove you are an alcoholic or a sick person. We want to help you avoid getting another DUI. For those of you who have gotten a second or third DUI, we have Tuesday and Thursday groups at 5:30PM making it convenient to attend after work. We use the same rational approach in all our work. We want to know what you would like to get out of this and what you are interested in for the future. Bill Weber has a Bachelors degree in psychology from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He has a Masters degree in psychology from State University of New York at Geneseo. He took additional courses for the University of Nevada at Reno where he taught Social Psychology and earned additional graduate credits to become licensed as an therapist and marriage and family therapist in the state of Nevada. He has 27 years of experience working for the State Of Nevada Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services first at the Adolescent Treatment Center and then at the Nevada Mental Health Institute as a Mental Health Counselor. He has been in part time private practice since 1986. He is now in full time private practice.
